Ezel Şarapları
Selcen, Çal (Denizli) – Denizli
Experiences
Tours Family-owned Indigenous grapes
A family producer in Selcen, Çal (Denizli), founded in 2006 by Mehmet Atılsın and named after the family's daughters. Ezel is one of the wineries along the emerging Çal Vineyard Route (Çal Bağ Yolu).
The vineyards sit on the foothills of Mount Çökelez on the Çal plateau, with the chalky-clay soils typical of the region. Continental climate and wide diurnal temperature swings preserve grape acidity and aromatic profile.
The Çal–Güney–Bekilli zone supplies a significant share of Turkey's wine grapes. Plantings around Selcen include the indigenous Çalkarası and Sultaniye alongside Öküzgözü, Boğazkere, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
Visits and tastings can be arranged by appointment. The cellar lies on the Çal Vineyard Route, an easy detour from Pamukkale and Hierapolis.
