A 420-hectare vineyard and winery on the Elmalı plateau of Antalya, sited at 1,100 m elevation. The estate was founded in 1998 by brothers Burak and Doruk Özkan and built with modern Italian and French equipment.
The vineyards sit on a Taurus high plateau where Mediterranean climate meets high-altitude cool — an unusual viticultural setting. With the help of local shepherds the team rediscovered the indigenous Acıkara grape and, after sixteen years of R&D, established a 35-hectare Acıkara block that brought the variety back into commercial production.
Plantings include the revived Anatolian red Acıkara alongside Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syrah, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Malbec, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
The Likya Vineyards Acıkara 2012 received 94 points from MW Sarah Abbott and 89 from Christy Canterbury. Likya was named "Best Turkish Wine Producer" at the AWC Vienna International Wine Challenge in 2012, 2015 and 2016.
The cellar runs daily 11:30–23:00 with tastings, vineyard tours and restaurant service; reservations recommended.
