İsabey Bağları & Bağevi
Gölcükler, Menderes (İzmir)
Tasting Culinary Stay Tours Events
The flagship Menderes (İzmir) estate of the Sevilen Group, a family winery founded in 1942 after the grandfather brought his winemaking knowledge over from Bulgaria. İsabey Bağevi has been part of the group since 1958; the restaurant has been running since 2002 and appears in the Michelin Guide.
The estate is just eight minutes from İzmir Adnan Menderes airport. Across 160 hectares — both around the bağevi and on a high-altitude site at 900 m — the vines are tended under the consultancy of French specialist Florent Dumeau.
The site is best known for Sauvignon Blanc; the broader range also includes Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Petit Verdot, with the cool aromatic profile of the high-altitude block setting apart the 900 series.
Higher-end bottlings include Centum Syrah and Centum Cabernet Franc, Magnesia Cabernet Franc, İsabey Sauvignon Blanc, and the 900 Fumé Blanc and 900 Petit Verdot from the high-altitude vineyard.
Tastings, vineyard tours and wine education seminars run alongside the fine-dining restaurant under a 350-year-old plane tree.
A guest house on the estate offers overnight stays among the vineyards.
