Tasting Culinary Tours Events Indigenous grapes
A roughly 117-hectare single-parcel estate in Kuşçuburun (Torbalı/İzmir), established in 2006 by Lucien Arkas — known as Turkey's largest single-block organic vineyard. Production runs from a 2,500 m² modern winery.
The vineyard sits on the inland hills of the Torbalı plain, open to the warm Aegean climate. Farming is certified organic by Ecocert; grapes are picked at night in the cool breeze and moonlight.
Over twenty varieties grow on the estate: the indigenous Bornova Misketi, Narince, Öküzgözü and Boğazkere alongside international Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Shiraz, Marselan, Petit Verdot, Montepulciano, Tempranillo, Sangiovese, Grenache, Tannat, Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Muscat and Ugni Blanc.
The estate restaurant — included in the Michelin Guide — pairs seasonal dishes with the wines; tastings, vineyard tours and event spaces are available daily by reservation.
