Kalvi Şarap (Chateau Kalecik)
Kalecik (Ankara)
Tasting Tours Indigenous grapes
A boutique winery in central Kalecik (Ankara), set near the old railway station — also known as **Chateau Kalecik**. The estate runs 15 hectares with a 2,500 m² cellar and an annual capacity of two million bottles.
Kalecik is the home of the Kalecik Karası grape — the Kızılırmak valley's microclimate and marine-fossil-rich soils are the textbook terroir for the variety.
The range works with three indigenous Anatolian grapes — Kalecik Karası, Öküzgözü and Boğazkere — alongside international Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Merlot. Fermentations run without sugar or additives.
The flagship Kal Vinum is a Kalecik Karası–Shiraz– Cabernet–Merlot blend; the estate also bottles a single- varietal Kalecik Karası and an Öküzgözü–Boğazkere blend.
The cellar door is open daily for tastings and tours; advance booking is recommended.
