Kavaklıdere — Côtes d'Avanos
Yeşilyurt, Gülşehir (Nevşehir)
Tasting Tours Indigenous grapes
Kavaklıdere's Cappadocia production facility, opened in 2003 in Yeşilyurt village (Gülşehir/Nevşehir) under the "Côtes d'Avanos" name — a boutique-scale outpost focused on central-Anatolian indigenous grapes.
The site sits on Cappadocia's volcanic-tuff soils near the Kızılırmak valley. Continental climate, altitude and wide diurnal swings preserve acidity and aromatic complexity.
The estate works with the indigenous Cappadocian Emir alongside Kalecik Karası, Boğazkere, Öküzgözü and Narince.
Wines are bottled under the Côtes d'Avanos label, named after the slopes that descend toward the Kızılırmak.
