Tasting Culinary Tours Events Indigenous grapes
A vineyard and winery in Bağyurdu (Kemalpaşa, İzmir), built in 2004 on three generations of Özcan-family viticulture. The founder, Hamit Özcan, brought experience from the family's glass-making business to the project.
The estate takes its name from Nymphaion, Kemalpaşa's medieval name meaning "water nymph". The vineyards lie between Mt. Bozdağ, Çal Dağı and Nif Dağı on calcareous slopes built up from Bozdağlar alluvium — a balance of clay, limestone, sand and gravel.
Plantings include the indigenous Bornova Misketi alongside Solaris, Viognier, Chardonnay, Montepulciano, Sangiovese and Grenache. Nif is the only producer in Turkey growing Solaris and the only one bottling a Montepulciano rosé.
The Nif Gastro & Wine Bar restaurant — wrapped in panoramic glass over the vineyards — pairs seasonal cuisine with the estate's wines. The Nif Wine Club offers members private tastings and exclusive bottlings.
