Yedi Bilgeler Bağları (7Bilgeler Vineyards)
Gökçealan, Selçuk (İzmir)
Tasting Culinary Stay Tours Events Indigenous grapes
An integrated vineyard-hotel-restaurant-cellar complex in Gökçealan (Burgaz) village, Selçuk, in the landscape of the ancient Seven Sages of Anatolia. Yedi Bilgeler is widely cited as Turkey's first "Vineyards – Winery – Hotel – Restaurant – Events" boutique address.
The estate runs on ecological-farming principles. Wines are named after the Seven Sages and other ancient philosophers of this geography — Thales, Anaxagoras, Pythagoras, Khilon, Solon, Bias, Lasos, plus Heraclitus, Pittacus and Hippocrates.
The vineyard is planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Chardonnay alongside the indigenous Bornova Misketi.
Mayadan Restaurant pairs seasonal cuisine with estate wines; the property also hosts weddings, tastings and other events.
The on-site Vinifera Hotel offers year-round vineyard-view rooms with cellar access.
