Ellez Bağcılık
Çeşmekolu, Lüleburgaz (Kırklareli)
Tasting Indigenous grapes
A vineyard and wine producer in Çeşmekolu village, Lüleburgaz (Kırklareli). The estate carries roughly 24,000 vines and also produces hardaliye, the traditional non-alcoholic Thracian grape beverage.
The vineyards lie on the Lüleburgaz–Kırklareli belt, climbing toward the foothills of the Istranca range. Cool nights and a long summer of sunshine suit red varieties.
The estate is planted to Cabernet Sauvignon (planted 2008, 2009, 2011), Merlot (2008, 2009, 2011), Shiraz (2009) and a small block of Pinot Noir. The Papazkarası block planted in 2017 has been giving notable harvests since 2022.
Visits and tastings are by appointment during weekday business hours. Wines available include monocépage Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz alongside Cabernet–Shiraz and Cabernet–Merlot blends.
